I was very lucky to be born in such a rich country! Brazil has more varities of birds, plants, fruits, styles of music and dances than any other place in the world! I am from Rio, the birth place of samba and choro. My family comes from the northeast where I drank from the pure waters of baião, xote, ciranda, frevo and countless other rhythms. This CD is a mixture of the traditional and the modern, roots and fruits: Itiberê Orquestra Família, formed by incredible young musicians, that are carrying the flag of the “Universal Sound” of the Master Hermeto Pascoal. João Bosco’s music swings like Rio, a bridge in which generations walk, listening to the drumming of “surdos”, the hearts of our ancestors. Come!
