“It is always a pleasure when a composer dedicates some works to the Brazilian guitar. This wonderful collection written by Celia Malheiros certainly adds a significant contribution to our scarce printed material. The five pieces included here are perfect examples of how different Brazilian styles can be so well mixed with jazz harmonies.
Congratulations Celia Malheiros for the dedication and accuracy in having this accomplished.”

With Special Guest João Bosco
I was very lucky to be born in such a rich country! Brazil has more varities of birds, plants, fruits, styles of music and dances than any other place in the world! I am from Rio, the birth place of samba and choro. My family comes from the northeast where I drank from the pure waters of baião, xote, ciranda, frevo and countless other rhythms. This CD is a mixture of the traditional and the modern, roots and fruits: Itiberê Orquestra Família, formed by incredible young musicians, that are carrying the flag of the Universal Sound of the Master Hermeto Pascoal. João Boscos music swings like Rio, a bridge in which generations walk, listening to the drumming of surdos, the hearts of our ancestrals.
Come! Take my hand and join me with these great musicians as we embark on this journey...

If you haven't heard her name yet, you will soon. Celia Malheiros has been a part of the music scene for years, and has been respected as both performer and composer. With the debut of her CD, Sempre Crescendo, the recording is being lauded by major figures in Brazilian music, and by music critics alike. The CD was recorded in Rio de Janeiro, and it featured master instrumentalist Hermeto Pascoal as a special guest, as well as Jovino Santos Netos, and other great Brazilian musicians. This project established an amazing bond she has always felt with Hermeto and in her liner notes she wrote: I was blessed with the opportunity to work with many incredible musicians and my music guru Hermeto Pascoal. He wrote in response: "It was wonderful to improvise and create through the heart and soul with you." One thing is certain, on Sempre Crescendo Malheiros comes into her own as a recording artist, thus gaining more fans and friends for her music.
